You know, we always use superhero names around here on The Real Brian Show. It’s something Podcast Overlord and I started back on the Arrow Squad podcast years ago and it’s something I’ve brought over to TRBS. The reason I love for all of us to have superhero names is twofold. 1 is that “radio/superhero” names are just cool! Let’s be honest. And 2, I hope our superhero names reflect the best version of ourselves. Ideally they’re REAL… but they’re also something we continue to strive for. So one thing we are looking forward to today is sharing with you FAILED SUPERHERO NAMES… or I guess we could turn it positive and say these names are “missed opportunities”... hehe… plus, I have a really cool story to share with you that I hope will help us all to unleash our superheroes. We’ll talk about what we’re nerding out on this week, and we have some typical pop culture stuff to talk about as well!!!

It’s easy to focus on things that are negative or create anger, frustration, sadness, etc in us. It’s easy to sit on our couches, or in our desk chairs, or on our toilet and rant and complain about everything without getting up to do something about it. Yet, last week, I saw Caffeinatrix, we chatted, and after a really challenging week for me (TRB), she somehow lifted my spirits, put a smile on my face, and helped me to end my week RIGHT. I'm thankful for her and the fact that she unleashed her superhero. Unknowingly! That, plus SevenBlueSeven's story that he shared last week (about his hate and buttons he gives to others) REALLY made me think...
It's a great reminder that when we unleash our superhero, even by doing something small like smiling for someone or just listening, we can profoundly lift someone up out of whatever they're dealing with. Additionally, when we form a habit of focusing on the positive and on things that are healthy, good, beautiful, encouraging, empowering, inspiring... you get the picture... then we start to SEE more of that. Consequently, we see less of the negative. Hope you enjoy this discussion. And I hope you JOIN US in focusing on the positive!!!
Well… we partied SO hard on Cinco de Mayo… The tea never stopped flowing. We went to the Celestial Seasonings Factory, toured it, and drank tea until SevenBlueSeven passed out. JonnyPistolShot tried to kiss the Sleepytime bear… among other things... um... What? Today we’re talking about some really fun things we nerded out on this last week (good stories... trust me), as well as the REAL differences between fruits and veggies that no one else will tell you. PLUS, we have some tv show and game reviews, AND a positive message I will share with you. I'm really excited for our positive move forward in a way that will inspire, encourage, and empower you!
We had the opportunity to tour the Celestial Seasonings Factory in Boulder, Colorado this last week! SevenBlueSeven and JonnyPistolShot had never been, so Miss Light and I took them to experience the gloriousness of tea. Mmmmmm. We share the awesome adventure and tell you a little more about TEA!!! The title says it all. You truly get more of what you focus on. Things have been a challenge for me this year, as you know. But those challenges don't give me an excuse to focus on the negative. Unfortunately, we all make mistakes and I've found myself focusing more on the negative, the cynical, and the frustrating. BUT(T)!!!! We're gonna rock it forward. I'm making a decision to ensure that The Real Brian Show does everything in its power to stay focused on that which is positive, inspiring, encouraging, and empowering. Part of that is a personal decision and habit. Part of that is us, as the hosts and community, doing everything in our power to look for the positive and that which helps us to move forward in our lives and actions in the right way. So, listen in for the message I share and PLEASE let me know your thoughts!!
HAPPY STAR WARS DAY TOMORROW!! It's also Free Comic Book Day tomorrow as well! And it’s our Journey to the Future TODAY!!! We'll be sharing technology, etc. that we’d love to see in the future as well as tech we wanted to see years ago that’s either already come to pass or hasn't yet come to pass. We totally nerd out on that and share some future tech wishes from some of the TRBS community as well!
