As promised, Abel James returns! Abel was on The Real Brian Show on episode 65 back in 2017. We, of course, chat about health... since he knows a thing or two about that. Abel and his wife, Alyson, dealt with carbon monoxide poisoning recently and he’ll be sharing what happened with that and how they have overcome and detoxed from that unfortunate experience. AND, we’ll talk about his crazy experiences with producing video, his new book - “Designer Babies Still Get Scabies,” and I know we’ll be nerding out on music and other various things.

It’s TRB UNLEASHED! Welcome back! Happy Monday! Now, I said we’d have Abel James on the show today, but I decided to push that back to next Monday because I wanted to have a timely chat with our friend Bentastic about how you can make the most of this time while we’re isolated together.

I know I mentioned we'd stay away from talking about the current situation, but this has affected us in more ways than any of us anticipated. So our conversation today revolves around ways you can make the most of this time with your loved ones: family, spouse, significant others, kids, etc. We also talk about ways you can practice self care and balance, so you can stay at the top of your game!

Bentastic is a long-time listener and friend who is currently helping special needs parents build and maintain strong, fulfilling relationships with their partners and children, while maintaining a healthy personal balance. He'll be sharing specific tips that he and his family are currently doing to thrive during this time!

210: TRB UNLEASHED: A Wake Up Call With Blue Phoenix 0

It’s official!! The time has finally arrived! The interviews are BACK! We’re here to help you become the superhero you are meant to be and reclaim your life and your passions and not apologize for it.

Joining me today is Blue Phoenix (Spencer), who is actually an old friend of mine. He has an incredibly powerful and, yet, difficult story to share with us today. He’s been through a lot in his life, and yet his attitude and response to these challenges is an amazing inspiration on how he’s overcome and unleashed his superhero.

Spencer had an arrest of his heart years ago that caused him to, essentially, die for 11 minutes. Thankfully, he was brought back to life and to recovery. Unfortunately, the down time caused his kidneys to eventually fail, leading to the need for kidney dialysis and the search for a kidney donor. It took both of these events to create a wake up call for Spencer.

Spencer's attitude and response to these things is an amazing example of someone who has and continually unleashes his superhero on a daily basis. It's an inspiring and empowering episode to help each of us to look for the good and the positive in our lives, regardless of our circumstances.
